Kanjivaram Silk Saree in Deep Maroon with Gold Zari

Woven in Kanchipuram by a family of third-generation weavers, this saree takes close to three weeks on the loom. The border is attached by the traditional korvai technique, where the body and border are woven on separate shuttles and interlocked by hand - which is why the join holds its shape for decades.

The pallu carries a classic mayil chakram (peacock wheel) brocade in gold zari.
